Welcome to Tanzania! Your mid-range safari experience begins as soon as you land at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). A professional driver from Tanzania Kili Adventures will welcome you at the arrivals terminal and chauffeur you to your charming mid-range hotel in Arusha or Moshi. Take the afternoon to settle into your comfortable room, swim in the pool, or relax in the lush gardens. In the evening, your safari guide will host an official pre-safari briefing to review the route, park regulations, and wildlife safety protocols before you enjoy a delicious multi-course dinner.

Day 2: Arusha / Moshi to Tarangire National Park

Depart after a hearty breakfast for Lake Manyara National Park, a stunning emerald gem located at the base of the Rift Valley wall. Enter the park through a dramatic, evergreen groundwater forest where noisy troops of olive baboons and blue monkeys swing through the trees. As you emerge onto the open floodplains, you will see thousands of pink flamingos feeding along the alkaline lake shore. Your expert guide will help track Manyara’s iconic tree-climbing lions resting high on the branches, as well as pods of hippos wallowing in the Simba River.
