Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Your safari starts with a morning pickup from your student hostel or hotel in Arusha by your Tanzania Kili Adventures guide. Depart for Tarangire National Park, famous for its iconic giant baobab trees and dense elephant populations.

Enjoy a full-day game drive tracking elephants, giraffes, zebras, and lions along the Tarangire River basin. Eat a packed picnic lunch overlooking the river. In the late afternoon, drive to your budget camp or hostel in Karatu or Mto wa Mbu for dinner and an evening campfire session.

Day 2: Mto wa Mbu Cultural Walking Tour & Lake Manyara Safari

Drive through dense mahogany groundwater forests home to large troupes of baboons and blue monkeys before emerging onto the shores of the alkaline lake to view pink flamingos and search for tree-climbing lions. Day 3: Full-Day Ngorongoro Crater Big Five Safari

Enjoy a group picnic lunch at the hippo pool before ascending back to your highland budget lodge or camp for dinner.

Day 5: Karatu to Great Rift Valley Viewpoint & Return to Arusha

Stop at a local artisan market in Makuyuni to practice bargaining for handmade souvenirs and Maasai crafts. Arrive in Arusha in the afternoon for drop-off at your hotel, student residence, or Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO).
