Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha (The Safari Capital)

Your extraordinary African adventure begins the moment you touch down at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). A senior tour representative from Tanzania Kili Adventures will greet you with a warm welcome and transfer you in a private vehicle to your premium lodge in Arusha. The remainder of the day is yours to unwind, shaking off the jet lag under the shadow of Mount Meru as you prepare for the legendary journey ahead.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park (The Land of Giants)

After a hearty breakfast and a brief safari orientation, we depart Arusha for a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park. Famed for its thousands of iconic, ancient baobab trees and massive super-herds of elephants, Tarangire is a spectacular introduction to the Tanzanian wilderness. During the dry season, the life-giving Tarangire River becomes a vital magnet for migratory animals, offering exceptional opportunities to view lions, leopards, giraffes, and rare fringe-eared oryx drinking along the banks.

Day 3: Tarangire to Central Serengeti National Park (Seronera Valley)

Today, we head into the world's most celebrated wildlife sanctuary: Serengeti National Park. Traveling through the dramatic Ngorongoro Highlands, we enter the park via the Naabi Hill Gate, opening up to the classic "endless plains." We spend the afternoon exploring the Seronera Valley (Central Serengeti), a region renowned for its exceptionally high density of resident big cats. Your expert guide will navigate the granite kopjes in search of resting lions, cheetahs scanning the plains, and leopards draped over acacia branches.

Day 4: Tracking the Migratory Herds (Central to Northern or Western Serengeti)

June to July (Western Corridor): We track the migration toward the Grumeti River, where the herds encounter their first treacherous water crossings infested with massive Nile crocodiles.

August to October (Northern Serengeti / Kogatende): We venture north toward the remote Kogatende region. Here, millions of wildebeest mass along the steep banks of the Mara River, culminating in high-drama, chaotic river crossings.

December to March (Southern Plains / Ndutu): We shift focus south to witness the incredible calving season, where thousands of new calves are born daily, attracting a frenzy of apex predators.

Day 5: Full Day Immersive Migration & Predator Tracking

We dedicate an entire day to exploring the vast horizons of the Serengeti. Setting out with the sunrise, you will witness the plains come alive. We pack a gourmet picnic lunch so we can stay out in the field all day, tracking the continuous columns of the wildebeest migration and searching for trailing predators like hyenas, wild dogs, and prides of hunting lions. The sheer scale of millions of hooves moving in unison across the savanna is a sight you will carry with you forever.

Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Enjoy a final early-morning game drive through the Serengeti as we transition out of the park and journey toward the spectacular Ngorongoro Conservation Area. En route, we offer an optional cultural visit to an authentic Maasai village to experience the traditional Adumu jumping dance and learn about local indigenous customs. We arrive at the crater rim in the late afternoon to witness a breathtaking sunset over the caldera floor below.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater Floor Tour – Return to Arusha

After a memorable picnic lunch overlooking a hippo pool, we ascend the crater walls and make the smooth return journey back to Arusha or directly to the airport for your onward flight.
